1. Member Categories
(1) Individual Members: This includes student members, regular members, senior members, and foreign members;
(2) Institutional Members.
2. Membership Requirements (Excluding foreign members)
(1) Uphold the charter of the CSVE;
(2) Individual members must possess Chinese nationality;
(3) Express a desire to join the CSVE;
(4) Have a certain level of influence within the CSVE’s field of operation;
(5) Students majoring in vibration engineering-related fields who are in their third year or above of undergraduate studies can apply to become student members.
(6) Those who hold holding intermediate and above technical positions or titles such as lecturers, assistant researchers, engineers, and other scientific and technical personnel of equivalent level; those who have graduated from undergraduate studies in higher education institutions or are self-taught, have been engaged in the work of this discipline for more than three years and have practical work experience and a certain academic level; those who have obtained a master’s degree or above; leaders who are enthusiastic and actively support the work of the society, can apply to become regular members.
(7) Those who have obtained the qualifications for positions such as associate professor, associate researcher, senior engineer and above, and meet one of the following conditions, can apply to become senior members:
i.Experts who have made significant contributions or have rich practical experience in the academic, engineering, or scientific and technological fields;
ii. Those who have won the National Science and Technology Progress Award, Invention Award, Natural Science Award, or provincial (ministerial) level Science and Technology Progress Award;
iii.Those who have published important papers in domestic and foreign academic journals and academic conferences or have published works;
iv.Those who have been involved in the activities of this society for many years and have made significant contributions to the development of the society.
(8) Research, teaching, production enterprises and institutions, and legally established social groups that are related to the professional scope of this society, are willing to participate in the relevant activities of this society, support the work of this society, and have a certain number of scientific and technological teams, can apply to become institutional members.
3. Foreign Members
Foreign experts or scholars who have achieved high academic results, are friendly to China, and are willing to exchange and cooperate with the society, can be admitted as foreign members after being discussed and approved by the society’s Council or Standing Council and filed with the competent authorities. Foreign members can preferentially obtain academic publications and related materials published by the society, and can be invited to participate in academic conferences hosted by the society in China and obtain related other services.
4. Admission Procedure
(1) Individual members: Register online on the member website.
Institutional Members: After registering online on the member website, they need to download and fill in the “CSVE Membership Application”. Once the form is signed and stamped by the institution, it should be sent to the society’s office or scanned and emailed to the society’s email address. Enterprises are also required to provide a copy of their business license.
(2) The application is then discussed and approved by the Council or the Standing Council;
(3) Upon approval, the member badge is issued by the Council or an institution authorized by the Council.
5. Member Rights
Student Members:
(1) Participate in the activities of this society;
(2) Receive the services of this society;
(3) Have the freedom to join or withdraw from the society voluntarily.
Regular Members:
(1) Have the right to vote, be elected, and vote in this society;
(2) Participate in the activities of this society;
(3) Have priority and preferential rights to receive the services of this society;
(4) Have the right to criticize, suggest, and supervise the work of this society;
(5) Have the freedom to join or withdraw from the society voluntarily;
(6) Have other rights determined by other documents of the society.
Institutional Members:
(1) Have priority to participate in relevant activities of the society;
(2) Have preferential access to the society’s publications and related academic materials;
(3) Request the society to give priority to scientific and technological consultation;
(4) Apply for and assist the society in organizing training courses;
(5) Entrust the society to organize academic exchange activities and technical achievement appraisal;
(6) Have the freedom to join or withdraw from the society voluntarily;
(7) Have other rights determined by other documents of the society.
6. Member Obligations
(1) Abide by the charter of this society and implement the resolutions of this society;
(2) Protect the legitimate rights and interests of this society;
(3) Complete the work assigned by this society;
(4) Pay membership dues as stipulated;
(5) Reflect the situation to this society, provide relevant materials.
(6) Other obligations determined by other documents of the society.
7. Membership Fee Standards
Student Members: No membership dues
Regular Members: Pay membership dues annually or every term (4 years),
100 yuan per year/400 yuan per term.
Senior Members: Pay membership dues annually or every term (4 years),
600 yuan per year/2400 yuan per term.
Foreign Members: Pay membership dues annually or every term (4 years),
600 yuan per year/2400 yuan per term.
Institutional Members: Pay membership dues annually or every term (4 years),
10,000 yuan per year/40,000 yuan per term.
8. Methods of Paying Membership Dues

Note: When paying the membership dues, be sure to note your “Name” and “Invoice Title”.
9. Additional Information on Membership Withdrawal
Members wishing to withdraw should inform the society in writing and return their membership certificate. If a member fails to pay the membership due for 1 year, the society will issue a written notice to the member to settle the payment. If the member does not fulfill the obligation to pay the membership dues as outlined in the society’s charter, they will be considered to have automatically withdrawn from the society. Those who wish to reapply for membership after withdrawal will need to undergo a re-approval process. Members who do not pay the membership dues are ineligible to become candidates for the society’s Council or Standing Council.
If a member engages in illegal or disorderly conduct or seriously violates the charter of this society, they may be expelled following a vote by the Council or the Standing Council. Members who are sentenced or disciplined due to illegal or disorderly conduct will automatically lose their membership.
