The 9th International Conference on Vibration Engineering (ICVE 2025) was successfully held in Nanjing from October 24 to 26, 2025. The conference was jointly organized by the Chinese Society for Vibration Engineering (CSVE) and the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (CSTAM), and co-hosted by Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) and Wenzhou University, with support from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). The conference chair was Prof. Wanming Zhai, President of CSVE and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, with Prof. Lifeng Wang of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics serving as Co-chair. The event attracted 447 formal delegates and 233 graduate students. The conference aimed to facilitate the exchange of the latest research achievements in the field of vibration engineering, strengthen communication and collaboration among scholars worldwide, and further advance the discipline. Participants came from 12 countries and regions, including Canada, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, Malaysia, Slovakia, Egypt, Türkiye, and China. Among them, 52 were international delegates and 395 were domestic attendees. During the opening ceremony, Academician Wanming Zhai presented the 2024 CSVE International Academic Contribution Award to Prof. Michael Beer. Opening Speech at the Conference A total of 316 abstracts and full papers related to vibration engineering were accepted for the conference. The papers covered a wide range of topics, including structural dynamics, multi-body dynamics, mechanical dynamics, fluid-structure interaction, nonlinear vibration, rotor dynamics, stochastic vibration, vibration control, dynamic testing and signal processing, noise analysis, vibration measurement, and signal analysis. Eight distinguished international scholars delivered plenary lectures: Prof. Michael Beer, President of the European Safety and Reliability Association, Leibniz University Hannover, Germany Prof. Haiyan Hu, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing Institute of Technology, China Prof. George Haller, Recipient of the ASME Lyapunov Award, ETH Zurich, Switzerland Prof. Li Cheng, Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, China Prof. Stefano Lenci, Past President of the Italian Association of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, Polytechnic University of Marche, Italy Prof. Marco Amabili, Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, Distinguished Professor of McGill University, and Professor at Westlake University, Canada/China Prof. Zhike Peng, President of Ningxia University, China Prof. Antonina Pirrotta, Recipient of the EASD Structural Dynamics Award, University of Palermo, Italy Invited Report at the Conference the conference scene Approximately 138 papers were presented and discussed across 19 parallel sessions. The plenary and session discussions provided solid theoretical references and practical foundations for subsequent research, establishing a cross-regional, multi-directional academic collaboration platform to support ongoing exploration and breakthroughs in key areas such as structural dynamics, fluid-structure interaction, and vibration control. Photos of the Sub-Forum During the conference, the CSVE Young Scholar Forum (2025-4) was held, featuring 13 young scholars: Prof. Rui Huang (Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics) Prof. Shengxi Zhou (Northwestern Polytechnical University) Prof. Minghui Yao (Tiangong University) Prof. Yanqing Wang (Northeastern University) Prof. Haoran Zuo (Tongji University) Dr. Lei Li (Northeastern University) Prof. Linchuan Zhao (Shanghai Jiao Tong University) Dr. Yuqiang Gao (Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics) Prof. Binrong Wen (Shanghai Jiao Tong University) Dr. Xinyuan Li (Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics) Prof. Jinxin Dou (Southwest Jiaotong University) Prof. Xiaofan Li (The University of Hong Kong) Dr. Javad Tayebi (Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics) The forum focused on the theme "Vibration Control and Energy Harvesting for Low-Carbon Development", covering applications in aerospace, rail transportation, and intelligent manufacturing. It showcased the latest research findings and frontier dynamics, supporting the development of young talents and broadening their international perspectives. The forum facilitated in-depth academic discussions on the application potential of vibration energy harvesting, dynamics, and control in wearable devices, structural health monitoring, and aerospace technology, providing innovative ideas and technical support for achieving national low-carbon strategic goals. Selected Photos of the Young Scholars Forum The forum was co-convened by Prof. Linchuan Zhao and Prof. Binrong Wen, recipients of the 9th and 10th China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) Young Talent Support Project, respectively. Participants also included selected young talents such as the 2024 CAST Young Talent Support Project (Doctoral Special Program) awardee and the 2025 CSVE Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Exchange Program participants. The 9th International Conference on Vibration Engineering & Young Scholars Forum Successfully Held in Nanjing by the Chinese Society for Vibration Engineering
